Our CEO, Bryan Davis, CTP, MBA

Born in Chicago, IL and raised in Matteson, IL; Bryan has had an interest in the stock market and banking from a young age. This led him to major in finance and business law at the University of Miami where he graduated cum laude and won awards for this business strategy thesis.  

Bryan has spent his entire career in the corporate finance and corporate treasury disciplines at Fortune 500 companies where he has worked in multiple departments with increasing levels of responsibility and span of control. Throughout his career he has led multiple departments and companies in the areas of strategic asset management and consolidation, foreign exchange management/hedging, and financial reporting and analysis.

During his career, he was selected to lead the strategic integration of a recently acquired $600 million business in Hamburg, Germany. After the successful completion of this integration and living in Europe for a year; he returned to the US to lead a $400 million financial reporting project with the goal of streamlining and improving the reporting capability of the company.

After 2 years on this team, he returned to the Corporate Treasury team and managed a global team whose responsibilities included monthly financial analysis, financing cost forecast and reporting, and fx management/confirmations.

After successfully leading these teams he was soon promoted to the Senior Manager level of the organization and had the additional responsibilities of global financing cost forecasting and analysis, global hedging and hedge effectiveness, and our overall capital structure strategy. Always the student, Bryan decided to increase his business acumen by attaining his MBA from DePaul University where his concentration was business strategy and finance. Bryan graduated from DePaul University with high honors and wanted to transition to a developing industry, the US cannabis industry.

Bryan created, developed, and led one of the first Treasury and Finance organization in US cannabis industry. He created and lead the organizations cash forecasting, working capital strategy, and bank relationship management including being the first person in US history to create cannabis banking in the state of Missouri. With a thorough understanding of the US MSO world, he takes great pride in training companies and individuals in the world of legal cannabis in the hopes to spread the wealth to all who seek to enter this new industry.

This passion led Bryan to create the Capital Gains Society whose mission is to translate the language of investing and finance for the everyday person and small business. Through courses, personal financial coaching sessions, and other mediums such as podcasts, interviews and social media posts; we seek to make the language of finance and investing more relatable for our members which will result in better financial decisions.
